Grechkin Peter Fyodorovich |
Grechkin was born in Kalach-on-Don in 1907. In 1930 he finished Stalingrad Secondary Art School. From 1928 Grechkin took part in art exhibitions, in 1932 he worked as a painter in the newspaper Stalingradskaya Pravda (Stalingrad Truth). Grechkin took part in World War II. He was captured, then liberated and fought in the 14th airborn regiment. Grechkin was a member of the Artists Union of the USSR.
