Legenchenko was born in Tsaritsyn in 1911. In 1934 he finished Stalingrad Secondary Art School. From 1937 Legenchenko took part in art exhibitions. In 1941 he became a member of the Artists Union of the USSR. Legenchenko took part in World War II. He fought all the way from Sevastopol to Berlin, defended Stalingrad. He was given a title of Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. Works of Legenchenko A. P.
