Мамаев курган. Скульптура "Родина-мать зовет!"

Главный монумент мемориала «Родина-мать зовет!» - обобщенный образ Родины. В стремительном порыве, с мечом в руке, Родина-мать призывает своих сыновей к окончательному разгрому врага.

Общая высота скульптуры с мечом – 85 м, без меча – 52 м. Общий вес сооружения – 8 тысяч тонн. Скульптура не связана жестко с фундаментом и прочно стоит за счет своего веса и точного расчета центра тяжести. Инженерные расчеты произведены под руководством доктора технических наук Н. В. Никитина. Монумент выполнен в железобетоне, меч изготовлен из нержавеющей стали.

The main monument “Motherland Is calling!” presents a generalized image of the Motherland. The Motherland with a sword in her hand is calling upon her sons to defeat the enemy. The total height of the sculpture together with a sword – 85 metres, without a sword - 52 metres. The total weight of the construction – 8 thousand tons. The engineering calculations were made under the leadership of N. Nikitin, doctor of technical sciences. The sculpture is made of reinforced concrete, the blade of the sword is made of stainless steel.

Das Hauptmonument der Gedenkstätte „Die Mutter – Heimat ruft auf!“

Das Hauptmonument der Gedenkstätte „Die Mutter – Heimat ruft auf!“ ist eine verallgemeinerte Gestalt der Heimat. Vom Drang beseelt ruft die Mutter – Heimat mit dem Schwert in der Hand ihre Söhne auf, den Feind völlig zu zerschlagen.

Die Gesamthöhe der Skulptur mit dem Schwert macht 85 m aus, ohne Schwert beträgt die Höhe 52 m. Das Gesamtgewicht beträgt 8 000 Tonnen. Die Figur steht an der Platte unbefestigt und hält sich allein durch sein Eigengewicht und dank der genauen Berechnung des Schwerpunktes. Ingenieurberechnungen vollbrachte ein Team der Ingenieure unter der Leitung des Doktors  der Ingenieurwissenschaften N.W. Nikitin.  Das Monument  wurde aus Stahlbeton angefertigt. Das Schwert wurde aus rostfreiem Stahl hergestellt.
